Doing anything in Los Angeles means you'll have to rent a car -- and be prepared for traffic during most days and times. Be prepared to locate the local news radio station that gives traffic updates every five or 10 minutes (we were surprised to hear that there were so many vehicle fires occurring on a regular basis).
