Terminator 2: 3D Battle Across Time (Orlando)Location: Universal Studios Florida Our thoughts: This isn't a ride, it's more a mixture between a live-action theater show and a 3-D movie. Based on the Terminator 2 movie, the theater part actually includes the three main actors from that movie -- Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton and Edward Furlong -- used in the 3D movie clip portions. Waiting in line is part of the show, you get to watch little brief mini-movies while you wait to get into the main theater (the idea is that you're on a plant tour at Cyberdyne, the company that makes the original robots that turn into the Terminators). At some point, the happy PR person from the plant tells you that you're about to visit the manufacturing facility, and that's when the "good guys" hijack the video feed and tell you that you're in danger. You then walk into the theater and get to see the rest of the show. The show consists of live-action show where the "actors" interact with the 3D movie (you get to wear the special glasses). The 3D effects are pretty good, and will keep you entertained for a while. This is a good show to attend if it gets too hot outside or if it's raining, or if your feet hurt from a lot of walking around the park. Tip: When you walk into the theater part, don't rush in, otherwise the ushers will make you walk all the way to the edge of the theater. Wait a bit and you'll get a good center seat.
