Epcot Center (Orlando)Location: Walt Disney World, Orlando Our thoughts: Disney's Epcot Center consists of the Future World at the front of the park and the World Showcase in the back. If you went here as a kid and barely remember what you saw, visit Epcot and the memories will quickly return, except everything will seem lamer. There have been some changes for the better over the years, but unfortunately many parts of Epcot are unchanged since it opened in 1982. If you go, don't skip Test Track, a great simulation of the tests that GM's crash dest dummies go through. The park's signature ride (inside the giant golf ball) is Spaceship Earth. It's a great example of 1982 excitement, just barely worth riding, if there's no line and you feel like sitting down for a little while. Save it for the end of the day when everyone's already ready to leave the park. The World Showcase has areas for Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Morocco, Norway and the USA. There are plenty of opportunities to soak in some culture from natives of those areas, buy their stuff, and eat their food. Plus, some lame rides. Epcot also provides ample opportunities to buy Disney stuff. Like the other Disney Parks, many areas of Epcot seem like a giant Disney Store. Tip: Ride Test Track as many times as you can.
