Millennium Broadway (New York City)Location: 145 West 44th St. Our thoughts: We recently stayed at this hotel as part of a business trip and then extended our stay for another night after getting theater tickets. The Millennium Broadway is a luxury hotel, but we didn't have to pay outrageous prices (well, $299 a night, but for Times Square we felt that was a good deal, considering the Marriot Marquis was $479 for the same night). In other New York City hotel rooms we've stayed in, it often feels like you are staying in a closet, so it was nice to open the door and actually feel like we could walk around the room without bumping into a bed, wall or the TV armoire. We got lucky and got a room relatively high up, and had an awesome view of the Chrysler building, which is very pretty when lit up at night. The hotel is located within a stone's throw of Times Square, just go to the Toys R Us and walk down the street a bit. The staff was very polite and attentive, and the room was comfortable (bed was fine, we had high-speed Internet available -- what more does a business traveler need?). One downside: the bathroom didn't have a fan. We'll leave it at that. Tip: Read the instructions on your TV remote on the correct way to turn off the TV. Trying it the 'normal' way will only cause the TV to turn back on.
