There are so many people working the counter here that you will never be behind more than one person. Go there just to hear the cashier's shout, "Can I take your order!" at the top of their lungs. The Times Square McDonald's claims to be the world's busiest McDonald's, and I don't doubt this. The restaurant is always buzzing with people.
We've visited this spot several times, and even have brought our laptop along and surfed the Web through the restaurant's Wi-Fi connection (about $3 for 2 hours of service). The food is typical McDonald's, nothing new to write on that point. In the upstairs area there's a model in the middle of the floor that highlights different New York City landmarks, good to see if you've never been to NYC before. There's a 99-cent ATM on the first level (which means the ATM only charges 99 cents to use as opposed to some of the higher-fee ATMs in the area), and there's a bathroom for customers, although we've never had to go bad enough to see what it looks like.
The food costs a little bit more than your typical McDonald's, but hey, you're in NYC.Tip: Go upstairs and try for a window seat so you can people-watch the Times Square crowds.
