Our thoughts: When walking around Downtown Disney, we checked out the menu for this restaurant, and we found the taquitos to be particularly appealing. The plan was to get some drinks here and order the taquitos as an appetizer, and then have dinner somewhere else. When we sat down, they gave us a complimentary bowl of chips with salsa, which made our plan seem very promising early on.

We got some Coronas and things were looking up. But once the "chicken taquitos" arrived, the whole plan pretty much fell apart.

The main problem with the "chicken taquitos" was that there didn't seem to be any chicken in them. They tasted and smelled a heck of a lot like potato pancakes. We looked and poked and tasted as much as we could tolerate to investigate, but we saw no sign of chicken in our "chicken taquitos." The guacamole spread over the taquitos platter was good, but the taquitos themselves were just bad.

We asked the friendly waiter about it, explaining that the taquitos seemed to be filled with potato and no chicken. He insisted that there was chicken in there, but explained that the chicken was deep fried and therefore had a different texture and tasted the way it did. (Don't try to make sense of that statement.) He offered to let us talk to his manager, but we said it wasn't a big deal and that it wasn't really necessary to have such a discussion. He returned soon after to tell us that he was quite surprised to learn that the recipe had recently changed, and they are now made with potato in addition to chicken (and obviously he was still wrong about the chicken part).

Tip: Don't order what we did.
