Las Vegas Hilton (Las Vegas)Location: 3000 Paradise Road Our thoughts: This hotel and casino is located right next to the Las Vegas Convention Center, which means it's the hottest hotel in town (and most expensive) whenever there's a big convention next door. Whenever there's no convention in town, you can get rates as low as $60 per night (non-weekend). The rooms are good nothing super-fancy, but we lucked out and got one that had an awesome view of the Las Vegas Strip. The hotel has a lot of great attractions in addition to the casino. Our favorite was Star Trek: The Experience, which includes two rides, a theme restaurant and a large Star Trek shopping area. The hotel also includes a Benihana restaurant (limited menu), a great sub shop (located in the back near the sports book) and a decent general-purpose restaurant (good for breakfast). The pool and fitness center are also excellent, although we recommend the pool only when it's really hot outside. In the casino, you can generally find $5 minimum tables throughout most of the day, but at night the minimums tend to go up to $10, even though you're off-Strip. If you don't want to play table games, there are some pretty cool The Price is Right nickel slots you can play. Tip: For a free activity, get your picture taken next to the giant Elvis statue in the lobby.
