taquitos.net > travel guide > Las Vegas > Restaurants > Ghirardelli Chocolate Ghirardelli Chocolate (Las Vegas)More Las Vegas Restaurants Location: Harrah's Las Vegas, courtyard Our thoughts: If you still have room left in your stomach after all the nice restaurants you've been going to in Las Vegas, make sure you stop and visit the Ghirardelli Chocolate Co. store, located in the outdoor courtyard area at Harrah's (easiest way to get there is to go to Harrah's and then walk outdoors, or come from the Flamingo and walk up the east side of the strip and you'll eventually hit it).
The store has a wide selection of chocolates if you want to try those, but more impressive are its array of ice cream and sundaes. Our all-time favorite is the Fog Horn, a large sundae made of chocolate ice cream, raspberry sauce, hot fudge and chocolate chips. Other sundaes are available (including one called the Earthquake), but we're so hooked on the Fog Horn that we've never tried any others.
The store has an old-fashioned soda shop feel to it, and we've never seen it too crowded (we usually go at night when everyone else is either gambling or drinking). This is well worth a visit if you've got a Jones for chocolate and raspberry.Tip: Bring lots of napkins, as the ice cream tends to melt (especially if you bring it outside in the Vegas heat). Hotels
