Location: Stratosphere Las Vegas

Our thoughts: There's nothing like the view from the Top of the World, a revolving restaurant 800 feet up the Stratosphere tower that takes you 360 degrees over 80 minutes. The views are pretty spectacular and the food was excellent. Prices were reasonable for a fine-dining experience and the service was excellent. If you're planning one fancy meal during your Las Vegas stay, consider Top of the World.

An added bonus: If you eat at Top of the World, you can visit the Stratosphere Observation Deck for free, saving yourself $9. Enjoy a fine meal and excellent views, then head to the observation deck for great picture-taking.

Second added bonus: Hang out at the bar before your table is ready and try to count how many wedding parties are there. Every time we've eaten here we've seen four or five different brides walk by in their gowns. This is definitely a Vegas thing.

Tip: Make reservations in advance and ask for specifics on the dress code.
