Our thoughts: If you have to get a lot of souvenirs on the cheap, head to Hilo Hatties (which can also be found in Kona on Palani Road).

You'll find your ukeleles, Macadamia nuts, Hawaiian shirts and tikis at good prices. We bought a Hawaiian shirt there and found it to be of good quality and price. We also snapped up a boatload of tikis and whatnot for everyone else on our list.

If you want to get a really nice, unique present for that special person in your life, head to the more discerning (and expensive) Kings' Shops in Waikoloa.
