Our thoughts: Any restaurant whose motto is "We cheat tourists, drunks and attorneys" is a place you need to visit. Plus, it promised burgers, so that didn't hurt, either.

If you're sick of upscale dining or chain fast-food joints, check out Bubba's, which promises to be Hawaii's Best Burger Joint. Best burgers? We didn't eat enough burgers island-wide to testify to that. But a good burger? Yes. Affordable and the atmosphere is fun. Plus, they sell cool T-shirts, and they have a cool wall of celebrity photos of people who have visited Bubba's, although some may be from the other Bubba's on the other Hawaiian islands.

Tip: A burger and fries make a full meal.
