Downstairs is the quieter area, with mostly a restaurant setup and some bar seating. Upstairs is a bit louder, with live music sometimes. Charlie's is probably most famous for its double cheeseburger special, but even more impressive is that you can get a double lobster roll for under $10. (Just about anywhere else, a single lobster roll costs nearly twice that.) I haven't fully figured out the math behind it, but somehow you can order all sorts of food and drinks here and end up spending under $10 per person. Students, professors, tourists and late-night partiers all end up here for the great food and drink. Tip: The frappes are great too.
