Taste test: This store-brand version of Fig Newtons from Target had two separately wrapped stacks of 14 cookies inside, and the cookies had generally the same appearance as Fig Newtons.
I bit in to find that they were maybe slightly drier than Fig Newtons, but not enough to matter much, as I always enjoy the sweet, fruity and chewy experience of this style of cookie. The Nutrition Facts said that two cookies constitutes one serving, but every time I went back to the package, I ended up eating at least twice that many cookies. Mmmm!
