Taste test: This was my first try at eating Spanish peanuts, and it turned out that they didn't have much in common with conventional, non-Spanish peanuts that I am used to.
The shells were already removed, and in appearance, they looked generally rounder, smaller and less elongated than regular peanuts. The taste was pretty much completely different, as these didn't remind me of peanuts at all. Since these weren't seasoned, roasted or anything, it's a bit tough to make a comparison, but the taste of these just didn't say "peanuts" to me. It was kind of like eating a plain almond. OK, but nothing special.
