Taste test: This was my first time eating ostrich meat, so I had no idea what to expect.
The taste of these thin-cut strips of jerky was not much different from beef jerky, as it was heavily seasoned with teriyaki, and if there is a particular taste to ostrich meat, I didn't notice. The texture, however, was another story, as this was very tough and far chewier than even the toughest beef jerky I've ever tried. So eating this requires strong teeth and some patience to let it soften up in your mouth, but that didn't stop our tasters from consuming the whole bag pretty quickly and enjoying the taste.
