Taste test: This trail mix included enormous raisins, banana chips, sunflower kernels, sugarized papaya chunks, sugarized pineapple chunks and shaved coconut.
The raisins were so big that I thought they were small dates at first, and they were probably the best part of the mix, though I've had far better raisins elsewhere. The banana chips were dry, sugary and bland, with an inconsistent texture from one to the next. The thin coconut pieces were kind of rubbery and tough to chew, and they didn't taste like coconut. The pineapple pieces were very sugary, as were the papaya chunks, as the sugar largely overwhelmed the fruit. The sunflower kernels were at the bottom of the bag, didn't seem to have any salt on them, and tasted like some of the other flavors had messed them up, as they tasted bad. Overall, a really dreadful mix.
