Taste test: The apple chips were light, crisp and brittle enough to break apart upon biting in (though not brittle enough to break beforehand in the bag).
The taste varied from chip to chip, as some of them had a pretty good apple taste, and others had sort of a mushy apple taste. The pieces that were cut from the middle of the apple included the seeds. Overall, I liked Seneca's apple chips better than these.

Smell test: An apple smell, but not a great one.
From the package: “Crispy Slices of Real Apples!” ... “No Hydrogenated Oils” ... “The great taste of Tastee Apple Chips comes from real apples that are sliced thin and cooked in small batches until they're light and crisp.”
