Snyder of Berlin Jalapeño Cheese Pops
Taste test: With the introduction of these Jalapeño Cheese Pops, Snyder of Berlin has given the snack market one of the more impressive new products to come along in recent years.
They've all but reinvented the cheese puff by innovating in several ways, with spectacular results all around. Starting with the shape, these are bite-size nuggets, less awkward to eat then large cheese puffs. The outside texure is smoother than the regular cheese puffs, leaving less orange powder on your fingers. The texture and density of the puffs is solid enough that it doesn't fall apart in your hand, but soft enough that once it's in your mouth, you can crush it flat with your tongue to intensify the flavor. And the flavor is the best part of all: The cheese taste is excellent, better than just about any cheese puff out there. It's spiked with enough real jalapeño taste to give it a good kick, but not so hot that you need to run for a beverage between Pops. This combination of flavors makes these Pops extremely addictive. These come in very large bags, but if you're not careful, the bag will be empty before you know it.
