Taste test: These are shaped sort of like Fritos, except that a Wahoo is a bit wider than a Frito.
They're thicker than Fritos but also quite a bit less dense, a result of millions of little air bubbles inside these. The cool thing is that these are rippled on one side, but smooth on the other a first among snacks, as far as we know. These have a good barbecue taste, not hot at all, and not great or special by any means, but still perfectly good. These are not greasy but do leave some powdery residue on your fingers, so have a napkin handy.

Smell test: A good barbecue-like smell.
From the package: “If you can't dazzle them with brilliane, baffle them with Wahoos! You don't have to be a Rocket Scientist to enjoy the crunchy, mumchy and slightly bent taste of Backyard BBQ Wahoos!”

Trivia: This big bag (11.25 ounces) cost just $1, the fortunate result of a math mistake by someone at General Mills that caused a massive overproduction of Wahoos for the Salt Lake City Olympics.
