When I first bit in, the taste was pretty good, with a less intense flavor than the kernels-only versions of Gerbs, but still tasty from the flavor of the kernel. However, after eating several of them, I came across two in a row that didn't look any different from the outside but tasted burnt. I though maybe it was just me, as a result of eating several in a row, but then a second taster who also like the first few she ate also came across a less-appealing burnt one.
