Rold Gold Recipe No. 4 Zesty Buffalo
Taste test: These pretzels had the same twisted shapes as Recipe No. 5, which oddly hit store shelves five months before this one, and even more oddly, we've still seen no signs of Recipe Nos. 1, 2 or 3.

The pieces had a fairly typical range of pretzel colors, with a very light orange seasoning here and there that didn't contrast much with the underlying pretzel.
I crunched in to find a crumbly crunch that was almost more cracker than pretzel, with an immediate kick of Buffalo heat that stayed around throughout the eating process and lingered in the aftertaste. Buffalo sauce is hardly new territory for snacks or even pretzels, and the flavor was good but not a standout or dead-on match for Buffalo wings. Still, it was one of the rare hot-flavored pretzels, so worth a try with your cold beer.
