Taste test: These smallish, knotted pretzels had surfaces that were less shiny than typical pretzels, with a darker color and walls that had a different profile, not round but flat, with the flat edge being roughly vertical when a piece is placed on a flat surface and viewed from above. The lumps of salt looked fairly big.
I crunched in to find a different crunch than usual, but still a strong one, with a different taste than most pretzels, still recognizable as pretzel, with the strong kicks of salt from those big chunks reinforcing this. A major change from the big pretzel brands, but a nice feel and good kick of salt.

Smell test: Not the usual pretzel smell. Barely anything.
From the package: “Freshly milled” ... “No pesticides • No artificials • No GMOs” ... “Factory farms and industrial mills produce flour that's been stripped of nutrients and fiber in the name of shelf-stability and profits. It's no wonder our bodies are telling us, 'No more industrial carbohydrates!' ” ... “We start with organically grown wheat and use our mighty stone mills to grind fresh, clean, 100% whole grain goodness for our pretzels. It makes them mighty. And when you eat them, you'll feel that way, too.”
