Whole Foods Chimichurri Flavored Popcorn
Taste test: Before getting to the review, a personal story about chimichurri. My first time eating at an Argentinian steakhouse, the waiter explained what to do with the bottle of chimichurri sauce, which is that you need to vigorously shake it up before pouring it. Good to know. What I didn't know was that the cap was quite loose. So when I shook the bottle, the cap went flying and the sauce ended up getting on everything, including my shirt. Oops!
Despite ruining my shirt, I quite liked the taste of that chimichurri sauce, so I didn't hesitate to buy this popcorn. The bag contained large, round popcorn kernels with a yellowish color plus lots of dark seasoning bits. I crunched in to find a crisp and soft feel, with lots of intense, delicious chimichurri spices, including some moderate heat. A very tasty snack, and no need to shake it up first!

Smell test: Very nice mix of spices, strong chimichurri smell.
From the package: “Herb Garden Limited Collection” ... “Turns out that chimichurri — the vibrant, tangy, spicy condiment created in Argentina for their famous grilled steaks — rocks mightily on popcorn too. Those little green flecks of parsley and spices mean something new, exciting and irresistible has entered your salty snacking orbit.”
