Taste test: This bag of popcorn had a convenient window in the front, so even before opening it, we could see that it contained large, round kernels with a golden caramel coating, plus some bright white areas where the coating was absent. When we opened it and got an even better look, we grabbed some kernels and found that many were stuck together into clusters, but we didn't see any peanuts stuck to any of them, whether individual kernels or several stuck together.
When we crunched in, however, there was a nice mix of peanut and delicious caramel with a nice light feel to the popcorn inside. A closer reading of the bag revealed that it actually promised crushed peanuts, and when we looked very closely at the kernels, we could see the small chunks of peanut stuck to the caramel. (We'll take the blame for not noticing the "crushed peanuts" description on the bag, as there weren't very many total words on the entire bag, and in our excitement to get inside, those words never even registered.) The crushed peanuts also distinguished these from every other Cracker Jack-style snack we've tried, as whole nuts are fairly standard. We shared these with lots of snackers, and everyone who tried some was very impressed by the delicious taste and crisp texture.

Smell test: Very nice! Not really like Cracker Jacks, as there was way more caramel to smell than peanuts, but the caramel was excellent.
