Taste test: Usually when a bag of popcorn is labeled as "Movie Theater" flavor, it means that it's got butter (or at least fake butter) on it.

So I was surprised upon examining this bag to find that Butter wasn't one of the ingredients. I opened the bag to find kernels in a variety of sizes and shapes, with just an off-white color and none of the yellow that's typical of buttered popcorn (though often the yellow is really just coloring anyway, not actually from the butter/fake butter). I grabbed a handful of kernels and crunched in to find that the kernels had a good crispness and tasted good, with just a little salt and maybe something resembling a slight taste of butter. Following the lead of American Farmer's Kettle Corn (which was just slightly sweet), they went with about the bare minimum of salt and butter flavor with this recipe. No major complaints, but generally when I think of movie theater popcorn, I think lots of salt and lots of butter.
