Koh-Kae Peanuts Mala Spicy Hot Pot
Taste test: These peanuts had a coating that was bumpy and light orange/beige in color, and separate from the coated nuts, there were some pieces of dried chili pepper floating mixed in.
I crunched in to find a light, crisp, loud crunch from the coating. Almost immediately after, the taste of the hot pepper spices seemed quite loud in the own way (and that was just from eating the coated nuts, not even trying the bits of pepper). It was really tasty and also quite hot — a good enough taste that I kept eating more pieces, which only multiplied the heat and ultimately brought tears to my eyes.
I alternated with sips of chocolate milk to temper things a bit, but it wasn't entirely effective, as my mouth still burned a lot. I didn't end up even trying the loose pieces of peppers, as I had plenty of heat to deal with even without them. Very good!
