Corniche Roasted Peanuts Wasabi
Taste test: This can was filled about 60% with coated peanuts, plus one of those "silica gel do not eat!" packets (though in this case it actually said "Oxygen Absorber," "Keepit" and "Don't eat") atop the heap of nuts. The coating was a lighter shade of green than shown in the photo on the can. The nuts varied in size quite a bit.
We crunched in to find a nice snappy, light crunch from the coating, along with immediate serious lick of wasabi. Did we mention serious? Maybe it was because of the serious kick, but the strange thing was that the taste was a heck of lot like wasabi peas, as the peanut flavor just didn't stand out much. Still, we could taste some peanut when we tried. Along with lots of wasabi kick! Our wasabi-loving tasters enjoyed these a lot, and it appeared that the mascot on the can was a big fan as well.
