Wel-Pac Saki Ika Prepared Squid Hot
Taste test: This bag of squid looked mostly the same as the non-hot version, with some thinly shredded parts and some thicker parts, plus a few bits of red that I assume were hot peppers.
The challenge here was to find tasters willing to even try the squid, as we asked lots of people to try at least a little taste but got very few takers. Those refusing were probably the smart ones here, as the eating experience was pretty bad. The first bite seemed bad but not quite terrible, as the sweetness, saltiness and make some pickling added a little something to the taste. But it really got worse after that. I couldn't notice much in the way of heat, but that might have been because I was focusing on how terrible the squid tasted.
