Natural Sins Crispy Mango Chips
Taste test: In my review of the Natural Sins Pineapple Chips, I was quite positive about the taste and texture of the chips, while being harsh about their use of the term "The Un Potato Chip."
They used the same term on this bag of mango chips, but it didn't rub me the wrong way this time. Here's why: While the pineapple ones didn't seem anything like potato chips in any way, this kind had a texture that at times did seem similar to potato chips. It still wasn't the anywhere near the same — which is fine — as the fruitiness and sugariness made for a different feel, but at times, the brittle crunch was so light and crispy that it was potato-like. The very thin cut helped, and even a thin chip still delivered lots of great mango flavor. The chips looked good, with a nice range of colors and skin around the edges. Great!

Smell test: Strong mango smell.
From the package: “You've eaten dried mangoes. But have you ever tasted a Costa Rica-grown mango, sliced so thin then you can almost see through it, baked until it's crispy, crunchy and, okay, craveable? Well, this'll be a first. But once you try our very un-potato chip snack, we're betting it won't be your last. Pure Vida, Crunch Lover.™” ... “Ingredients: Mango and Raw Cane Sugar.”
