Taste test: We could see right through the transparent part of this bar's wrapper that it was primarily almonds, as promised in the name. Whole almonds with a shiny glaze made up the majority of the contents, joined by some pumpkin seeds and various smaller pieces (including what the ingredients refer to as "pea crisps" and hemp seeds).
We opened the package to find that the bar was bendable, but not extremely so, as the almonds gave it some strength. It was quite sticky on the outside. We crunched in to find an initial taste that came mostly from the almonds, followed by a mix of heat and sweetness, with the heat staying around for the aftertaste too. There was less of the Thai taste than most of the Thai-flavored snacks that we've reviewed, but it was still more than enough that you could not miss it. Pretty tasty.

Smell test: Mild sweet smell.
From the package: “Non GMO” ... “Gluten free” ... “Low glycemic” ... “No whey” .. “No soy” ... ” 'Thai Sweet Chili.' Sounds pretty exotic right? Almost makes you want to quit your job and move to a remote beach? OK, well slow down. We like the enthusiasm, but try this bar first. It may not give you a tan, but with bold flavor from all-natural ingredients, at least your taste buds will get a vacation.” ... “It's not always easy to eat well, especially when the good stuff doesn't taste as awesome as the bad stuff. That's why me made Strong & Kind, a bar that's healthier than it tastes.”
