Taste test: This box of Crackerfuls contained six individual packages, each containing three squarish sandwiches. This was a much different configuration than the Cheddar version of Crackerfuls, which contained just one long rectangular sandwich per pack.
The sandwiches had a dark beige color plus some dark seasoning on the outside of the two crackers and a lighter beige filling in between. We call the shape "squarish" rather than square because the edges were not straight, but rather had three bumps along each edge. The filling was generally recessed quite a bit from the edges, only covering the center, which was unusual. Also, some sandwiches were lopsided, with the uneven filling resulting in the two crackers being on planes that were far from parallel.
We crunched in to find a dry feel and a nice brittle-but-solid crunch. The mix of flavors was nice, as the chili seemed to be contained in the crackers and the cheese was in the filling. The chili was spicy and tasty, and there was a hot aftertaste. The snackers who tried these were almost all very impressed. Some people said the taste reminded them of Combos. Very good!
