Taste test: This box contained 16 cookies in all, divided into two separately wrapped thin plastic trays, each made up of a 2x4 grid of compartments to keep the cookies separated. The separation worked, as the chocolate top surfaces were unscuffed and looked quite nice.
Each piece had a square butter cookie bottom, topped by a slightly smaller but thicker square with chocolate on the outside and caramel with salt on the inside. The top surface of the chocolate was not flat, as two opposite corners were higher and other two lower, with a nice curving effect on the surface in between.
The cookies were quite good, with a strong crunch from the butter cookie, lots of chocolate and caramel, and a nice contrast from the occasional encounter with salt. The butter cookie bottom had the advantage of giving you something to hold that can't melt. We shared these around and got almost all enthusiastic thumbs-ups (except for one snacker who said she doesn't like chocolate but likes salted caramel so much that she tried one anyway). Very good!
