Taste test: When the Oreo folks rolled out a thinner version of their flagship cookie, they weren't so shy as to limit the thin to just one flavor for launch. We discovered this Mint version, as well as a Golden one, on the very same visit to the supermarket.
In terms of appearance, the Mint ones were like the original in all ways except one. Each sandwich was enclosed by two cookies half the thickness of the original, bearing the same markings, and had about the same amount of filling. The only visible difference was that the filling was the same light green color as the non-Thins Mint Oreos.
The taste and texture were quite good. Mint and chocolate usually go together well, and they did here. There wasn't a huge amount mint, but there was enough to do the job and do it well. The feel was a bit crispier than the somewhat crumbly standard Oreos, but it was not so much different as to make them seem like they were not Oreos. The thin form factor did give the sandwiches a lighter feel overall, so each cookie was a bit less filling than a standard Mint Oreo, but you could always eat more of them to make up for that!
