Oreo Thins Chocolate Creme

Taste test: We're taking it as a sign that the first three flavors of Oreo Thins — original, Mint and Golden — were a big success when we discovered that they've added yet two more flavors, this chocolate creme-filled one, plus a lemon-filled Golden Oreo.

Like the other flavors, these had a filling of similar thickness to the original, but each of the two cookies was about half as thick. I also noticed that the decorations on the outer cookie surfaces, though following the same designs as the original sandwiches, didn't jut up as much, inheriting the thinness of the cookie proportionally. The chocolate filling looked several shades lighter in brown than the cookies. I crunched in to find a nice crispness to the cookies, but a brittler, softer feel, with plenty of creaminess from the filling. The chocolate creme did make it more chocolatey than the white-filled ones, but it wasn't too chocolatey, and regardless, it was great with cold milk.

Smell test: Regular Oreos smell. Nice.

From the package: “About 40 cookies per package” ... “thin & crispy sandwich cookies” ... “slit appears when opened” ... “A thin twist on the Oreo you love”
