Taste test: It's our policy at Taquitos.net not to review as snacks anything that requires refrigeration, and exceptions to this are extremely rare. This is the exception, for a couple of reasons: 1) We consider it part of our effort to document Oreo's gradual takeover of the entire grocery store. 2) It's freaking Oreo-flavored Cool Whip!
I opened the package to find that the Cool Whip had a light grayish color, far different from bright white regular Cool Whip, with tiny black bits of Oreo distributed throughout. The gray base contrasted with the white shown on the package. The Oreo bits were generally quite a bit smaller than you would generally find in a Cookies 'n Cream ice cream, so really small, and again, different from what the picture on the package indicated. I got a big spoonful and started eating, and oh, it was so good! Just think about the best of all possible outcomes that could result from combining Oreos with Cool Whip, and this would be it. Just unbelievable.
Don't worry about making pie, cake or even a bowl of ice cream to scoop this onto, and don't worry about trying the recipes provided under the lid — you can just eat it. It's awesome.
