Taste test: These tortilla chips were rectangular and fairly large, with somewhat wiggly shapes, a golden beige color and some dark spots. The actual chips did not have the fossilized pumpkin seed look of the ones pictured on the bag, but there were some large bumps on the chips that we guessed might have been enclosing the pumpkin seeds.
We crunched in to find a sweet tortilla chips taste, with a hint of pumpkin but still plenty of corn to taste as well. The bumps that we guessed might contain pumpkin seeds didn't really pan out — they were just bumps, with no pumpkin pieces or seeds to be found. The crispness and taste of these chips was really good, and our snackers were quite impressed, raving about the flavor. Pumpkin seeds tortilla chips are a rarity, but this was actually the second kind we tried; Mother's Pumpkin Seed Tortilla Chips were also a winner, but quite different than these, as the Laurel Hill version offered less sweetness than Mother's.
Smell test: Smells like pumpkin pie. Nice.
