Taste test: This package contained two large chocolate chip cookies, each about 3 inches in diameter and fairly thick, with a generous helping of fairly large chips visible on the surfaces.
I poured myself a glass of cold milk and bit into the first cookie to find a soft, somewhat crumbly feel — definitely no crunch here. The picture on the wrapper showed some very melty-looking chips, but really they weren't like that. The taste was pretty good, a bit above average as packaged chocolate chip cookies go, but a step below the bakery-fresh cookies that supermarkets sell, and far below homemade cookies, including the ones that my grandma used to make.
Smell test: An OK chocolate smell, but nothing like a fresh-baked cookie.
From the package: “Quality since 1914” ... “Contains wheat, milk, soy, and egg ingredients. Allergy information: Made on equipment that makes products containing peanuts and tree nuts.”
