Taste test: This limited-edition Oreo, created to celebrate 90 years of Mickey Mouse, featured a rotation of three Mickey-related designs on one face of each sandwich, with the other side bearing the standard Oreo markings.
Only one of the designs actually showed Mickey's face, wearing a birthday hat with some celebratory stuff floating around him. The second centered around the number 90, surrounded by a bunch of Mickey shapes. The third one was supposed to be maybe a bullhorn, birthday hat or (I hope) Mickey's hat from Fantasia, surrounded by some Mickey shapes, stars and squiggles.
The filling was supposed to be birthday cake-flavored, and it included some colorful streaks within the generally white color. (We've somehow neglected to review the standard birthday creme Oreos, which presumably tasted just like these, among our 100+ Oreo reviews, but we did review the birthday cake version of Golden Oreo Fudge Cremes.) It looked like they were fairly generous in the amount of this colorful creme. I crunched in to find that the birthday creme was sweeter than the standard Oreo creme, with a taste that was a whole lot like a birthday cake. The extra sweetness made some cold milk a real help in enjoying these.
