Taste test: This version of Sheila G's excellent invention known as Brownie Brittle didn't look any different than the original Chocolate Chip kind, as this was the same color and had chips as well, with no visible sign of mint.
But we crunched in to find a nice mix of middling-strength mint and chocolate to go along with what makes Brownie Brittle so special: the excellent light and crunchy texture. The texture wasn't "brittle" in the sense of peanut brittle, but more in the sense of being quite easily breakable, with a soft but crisp crunch. One result of being so brittle was that most of the brittle was broken into fairly small pieces. I tried something with this bag that I hadn't with previous flavors, pouring lots of those little pieces from the bottom of the bag into a bowl of ice cream. I'm glad I did, as it added some nice crunch to the already delicious ice cream.
