Tostitos Hint of Spicy Queso
Taste test: These tortilla chips had smallish circle shapes with a light beige color, many dark spots on the surfaces and some very sparse dark green seasoning bits. We crunched in to find a light crunch and lots of tasty, spicy cheesy seasoning that had a middling hot kick and mixed very well with the tasty corn. So they were very good chips.
However, just about every aspect of the chips themselves clashed with the indications given by their packaging. Tostitos has been giving us Hints for years, with their Lime and Jalapeño ones proving quite popular. But in this case, it wasn't a hint of spicy queso; it was quite a generous amount. (It wasn't the first Tostitos Hint with more than a hint, one example being Hint of Pepperjack.)
Also, most Tostitos mention a shape on the bag, whether it's their big Restaurant Style chips, Rounds or Bite Size. These were pretty much Bite Size, but the bag mentioned no shape at all. As such, I assumed the large shapes of other Hints chips (and was wrong).
And there's more! The bag front showed a very prominent jar of Tostitos Salsa Verde salsa, plus some of it poured into a bowl, which looked like it was there to describe the flavor — but it wasn't. Salsa Verde is not the same thing as spicy queso! The back of the bag showed a jar of Salsa Con Queso (plus Chunky Salsa), which would have made more sense being on the front. Evidently it was just a way to try to sell some salsa (and it did say "Serving Suggestion" in tiny type below the photos).

Smell test: Very nice tangy cheese smell. Not hot, but a great mix of cheese spices.
