Taste test: These potato chips had fairly flat shapes, with gentle curves but not wiggles, a light orange color and many bits of skin around the edges. They appeared to be cut fairly thick. Most of the chips had round-ish shapes, with many chips that were large but not huge. My initial expectations from seeing this bag was that they would be standard store-brand barbecue chips, but I did notice that it had the words "Premium" and "Select" right in the name, plus there was a whole lot of hype in the marketing copy on the back of the bag (see "From the Package").
I crunched in to find a fairly standard barbecue chips taste, so they didn't live up to that hype on the bag. They were indeed a bit thicker than standard chips, so that was nice, and they were pretty tasty, but still, a good and fairly average barbecue chip.
Smell test: Mild stanard barbecue chips smell.
From the package: “When you gotta have chips, you gotta have chips. And not some fancy, schmancy kind either. You're, unadulterated potato chips. Salty. Crunchy. Lip-smacking snacking.
