Popchips Nutter Puffs Peanut Butter
Taste test: We've seen lots of puff-shaped snacks offering a peanut butter flavor, so when I saw this one under the Popchips brand name, my thoughts were 1) Probably another Bamba-like snack. 2) Why brand it as Popchips?
I opened the bag to find a similar look to other PB puffs, in this case with thick, somewhat irregularly shaped puffs and an uneven golden peanut butter color. I crunched in to find a taste that was strongly peanut buttery, right from the first bite. The crunch was kind of stiff and styrofoam-like, rather than soft. I'd say maybe it's that stiffness that represents the "Pop" of Popchips, except that it's a whole different feel from that too, and not a positive the way that the "Pop" of Popchips is. Still, these did deliver lots of good peanut butter taste, and when I shared the rest of the bag with some fans of peanut butter, they quickly became fans of Nutter Puffs.
