Taste test: These plantain chips had an attractive mix of colors on their surfaces, as they were mostly a strong yellow, with many rings made of tiny spots of brown, plus some black spots near the centers. Some pieces were cut on the profile of the plantain, with round shapes, while others were more oblong, angular cuts.
We crunched in to find a very soft crunch and a good crispness, with lots of salty plantain taste enhanced a bit by some subtle sweet lime flavor. The plantain was still the dominant flavor here, but the hint of lime gave it some zing. The fresh plantain taste was quite good.
