Taste test: Given the novelty of meat chips, let alone chicken-based ones, we really had no idea what to expect from these until we opened the bag. When we did, we found triangular, light mustard-colored chips, a bit smaller than Doritos and with equilateral shapes, versus the slightly isosceles Doritos. The surface texture didn't resemble Doritos at all, with a more uniform color and some occasional whitish seasoning.
We crunched in to find a middling crispness and a gritty feel, with some very mild corn flavor but nothing resembling nacho cheese that we could notice. The aftertaste surprisingly (or not surprisingly, depending on your expectations) did taste like chicken. When we tried to share these with some snackers who were enjoying some beers, many heard the words "Meat Chips" and refused to even try one. But those who did were almost all impressed, in some cased raving on and on about the great taste.
