Taste test: This restaurant-inspired Lay's flavor is based on a chicken recipe that started in Nashville and is growing in popularity all over the place, and specifically it's based on a particular restaurant in Nashville's version of it. The chips had curvy, somewhat bubbly shapes similar to most Lay's flavors, with various shades of light orange on most of the surfaces, plus a smattering of small darker bits scattered fairly evenly throughout.

I crunched in to find a light, brittle crunch and a zesty mix of spices with some mild heat, transitioning soon into a very serious heat. It was really tasty, but also quite hot — it was hard to say how much it tasted like chicken as I coped with the high heat. Definitely one of the hottest Lay's flavors ever. Probably all but the most serious hot pepper eaters should have a cold beverage handy!

Smell test: Intense and very nice, could well pass for a very heavily spiced fried chicken.
