Taste test: These potato chips had a light yellow/orange glow, with some bits of skin on the edges, lots of wiggly chips, some folded-over chips and bubbles embedded inside many of the chips. Aside from the orange glow, there wasn't much seasoning visible except a very sparse amount of little green specks. We crunched in to find a bacon & cheddar flavor that was pretty good, with a definite smoky bacon taste, plus a mild burn from the jalapeño at first. The jalapeno picked up quite a bit in the aftertaste for a hot kick. Most of our tasters kind of liked these, but there were quite a few detractors who thought that Herr's was just too ambitious, with so much going on by combining bacon, cheddar and jalapeno all on one chip that the multitude of flavors got confusing to the taste buds.
Smell test: Quite an odd mix. Can definitely smell the cheddar, maybe the bacon, not really the jalapeno.
