Great Value Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips Spicy Chile & Lime
Taste test: This knockoff of Takis had a fairly dark red color over most of the surfaces (more intense than the ones pictured on the bag), but the red seasoning was applied unevenly so that some areas were more orange.
We crunched in to find a strong crunch with pretty good crispness, plus quite an explosion of flavor. The peppers were moderately hot, and the mix of peppers and corn was quite tasty. They didn't overdo it with lime, and that worked well. There was lots of dark red seasoning left on the fingertips, so good napkin would be handy.
One thing we noticed with these that we hadn't with the various other tubular tortillas was that many of the pieces were not rolled tightly, so the shapes were more varied (and perhaps quality control wasn't so tight).
