Essential Everyday Corn Chips
Taste test: This knockoff of Fritos looked very much the same, as the chips mirrored the color, thin width, curled shapes and even the occasional black spots on the surfaces.
We crunched in to find a good crispness and nice crunch, with plenty of salty corn flavor. The chips were noticeably less salty than Fritos and also less greasy, so the flavor wasn't quite as intense, but there was still plenty of flavor to go around. Our snackers liked the chips a lot and saw the lower level of salt as a big positive, in most cases favoring these over Fritos. The extra plus here was that these were a store-brand snack, far less expensive than Fritos, so for most people these were a better snack at a lower price.
