Taste test: This version of Doritos Flavor Shots included a bag of Nacho Cheese Doritos and a packet of Atomic Chile Limón flavor for spicing up the chips.
The bag didn't offer much guidance about how to go about doing this. When I tried the other Flavor Shots variety, Blazin' Buffalo Rush, I poured the Doritos onto a plate and sprinkled on the powder. That didn't work out so well, at least as far as getting an even distribution of seasoning. This time, I did what the Create-A-Chip Challenge from Kettle Chips recommended: pour the powder into the bag, fold the top shut and shake it a lot. It worked like a charm for getting an even distribution of seasoning, though I think some of the chips got broken in the process. The taste was OK, as there were a pretty good levels of both chile and lime, with some moderate heat. I'm not a huge fan of chile and lime flavor on any chips, so the taste was nothing particularly spectacular.
