Taste test: This glazed puffed corn had an unusual look, with a brownish red color, much darker than any similar snacks we've tried. Despite "Caramel Corn" name, it wasn't popcorn, but more like a puffed corn cereal — only different.
We crunched in to find a dense feel and a very soft crunch, with a nice mild sweetness. It was a different sort of caramel than we've come to expect from caramel corn (and many other caramel snacks, for that matter) with less of the buttery taste but still a nice caramel flavor. Our snackers were skeptical when they saw these, but most people were impressed once they actually tried some.
